On January 21, 2020, the Supreme Court of British Columbia issued an order prohibiting Jeremy Maddock of Victoria, BC from engaging in the unauthorized practice of law and from commencing, prosecuting or defending a proceeding in any court on behalf of someone else. The Law Society was awarded its costs.
