On July 31, 2018, Mr. Justice Tammen ordered that Joseph Alain Theriault, of Vancouver, and his company Trojan Roofing & Exteriors Inc., be permanently prohibited from engaging in the practice of law for a fee. The order also prohibits Theriault and his company from referring to themselves as lawyers or in any other way that connotes that they are entitled or qualified to practise law. Further, Theriault and Trojan Roofing & Exteriors Inc. are prohibited from commencing, prosecuting or defending proceedings in any court on behalf of others.
