Unauthorized Practitioner

Riddell, Matthew

Matthew Riddell, of Toronto, Ontario, consented to an order prohibiting him from falsely representing himself as being a lawyer, counsel, manager of a legal department or any other way that connotes that he is qualified or entitled to engage in the practice of law. The Law Society alleged that Riddell led others to believe he was a lawyer while representing his employer in several BC small claims actions.
